Hugel Jubilee

These wines use grapes hand selected from the best parts of Hugel owned vineyards, from only the best harvest years. The grapes are harvested when they are fully ripe and from only the oldest vines on the vineyard so they are ever so intense and because of the dry conditions, it requires a long time of bottle aging to reach absolute ripeness.

Riesling Jubilee Riesling Jubilee

Careful selection is carried out at every phase of production of this extremely superb wine, and only brilliant harvest years are used on an exceptional basis thus providing outstanding delicacy and elegance. In 3 to 5 years this wine will project the recognizable mineral characteristics that can attest to the complexity of a really superior wine. It offers sweet scents of honeysuckle, orange blossom, rowan, lemon and tangerine. On the palate, luscious honeydew melon fruit is enlivened by juicy, invigorating citrus and tinged with lemon zest, ginger, and chalky mineral traces.

Gewurztraminer Jubilee Gewurztraminer Jubilee

This wine has an enticing fragrance of spice and exotic fruits. Honey and rose petal fill the mouth while hints of cress, white pepper, and Provencal herbs provide counterpoint. The merest hint of sweetness marries well with the floral and honeyed side of this wine with spice on the finish. This wine can be enjoyed anytime but it will reach its peak in 5-8 years and after that the quality will remain constant from this century even until the next.

Pinot Gris Jubilee Pinot Gris Jubilee

This elegant wine is parallel with France’s most superb dry white wines. It is a little reserved, however, the slow aging in the bottle will bring out the potential of this wine more so than other wines. In at least 5 to 8 years’ time it will have absolutely amazing mellowness and richness and it will show real underlying vitality. It has peach, peach kernel, and chalk dust on the nose leading to a dense, peachy, yet amazingly mineral and faintly bitter palate.

Pinot Noir Jubilee Pinot Noir Jubilee

When we are satisfied by all of the conditions that nature gives, the harvested grapes are perfectly ripe, and they haven’t been affected by mold, we macerate the grapes with their skins for 2 to 3 weeks during fermentation. The outcome is a deep red colored wine that is then aged in small oak barrels then for another 2 to 5 years in the bottle. A pungently smoky, blackberry and pecan nose leads to a juicy, slightly tart, smoky mouthful of black fruits, resin and chalk dust. It finishes with admirable clarity and length.
